Kels has another round of double ear infections and I don't think I knocked on enough wood when I said "Kels has never had an ear infection before" Which she hadn't under she started day care. Now, I was prepared for the 'daycare' disease. Since she started in late January, she's had the flu, the croup, countless cold and restrictive airway disorders, ear infections and asthma. I am praying for an end of the sick clinics and leaving work and the screaming and the temper tantrums.
When I took her to my mom day before yesterday, I started naming off the meds she needs to take and how much and it was like, "Well in about 4 hours, Tylenol and then alternate the next 4 hours with Motrin, give her a breathing treatment in two hours, before bed give Benadryl and Orapred and then another breathing treatment. In the morning give Orapred and breathing treatment ever 2-4 hours and if fever, alternate Tylenol and Motrin again."
Which now that she's done with the steroid and has the double ear infection, it Augmetin in morning and night with Benadryl at night with breathing treatments ever 2-4 hours as needed.
I think I was spoiled with Troy and Katie, whom never got sick it seemed until Katie went into daycare and she had the dreaded daycare disease. So many of my friends recently have had their children go through the dreaded ear infections and colds and while Kels has bene battling her own asthmatic issues since she had RSV so young, no ear infections. I will never again mention out out, or in my head for that matter, anything that sounds like bragging rights of a healthy child. My child is not healthy and from the looks o fthings...wion't be for a while.
Come on preteen and outgrow childhood asthma!!!!!
