Well, sweetheart, my capacity is to do whatever the powers that be tell me to do with no increase in pay, recognition for anything that I have done above and beyond my job title over the last year, being told that I needed to work harder than everyone else because I should feel LUCKY to have been saved from the layoff when all they have really done was not to save my job but to add more to my workload.
My capacity is that I am a team player without the benefits.
My capacity is to be stuck between a rock and a hard place because I am a single working mother with a good work ethic and one dead beat dad who just can't seem to grow up enough to pay his child support.
My capacity is that I will work weekends, even Mother’s day weekend but will say no 30 minutes before I am to get off on a Friday only to come in the next week and get fussed at for refusing to work in such a short time frame.
My capacity is that I am so sick of the company that I work for that I really don’t’ know what my capacity will be at any point in the near future.
Note to self: Don’t talk to the girl in the office anymore because my true capacity is that while I have been here for a year with the promises of being hired on, after being told a week before said new girl in the office was hired that they could not hire me because they could not add anyone to their payroll, yea, my true capacity is that I could have punched her in the face and not really felt bad about it.
